Opportunistic Fusion of Ranges From Different Sources for Indoor Positioning

چکیده
Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) technology stands out as one of the most promising technologies for locating user in indoor scenarios new 5G mobile generation. As a drawback, it requires dense infrastructure. For this study, simulation real environment with UWB and Long Term Evolution (LTE) base stations positioning users is presented, tracked by an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). The proposed method uses information that unusable alone, combines LTE location, improving precision latter enabling sparse infrastructure deployments.

Tightly-Coupled Opportunistic Navigation for Deep Urban and Indoor Positioning
A strategy is presented for exploiting the frequency stability, transmit location, and timing information of ambient radio-frequency “signals of opportunity” for the purpose of navigating in deep urban and indoor environments. The strategy, referred to as tightly-coupled opportunistic navigation (TCON), involves a receiver continually searching for signals from which to extract navigation and t...
متن کاملFusion of data from different sources
The use of data from different, often complementary sources in order to obtain a better estimate of the state of the system under consideration has recently become very popular within many scientific areas. We will in this talk provide a framework, including the popular Kalman and particle filters for fusing data from different, complementary sources. The theory will be illustrated using severa...
متن کاملSensor fusion for UWB and Wifi indoor positioning systems
This paper advocates the application of sensor fusion for location. More and more sensors, like video, RFID, Wifi, are available in those environments. Fusing all those information is becoming a major task in indoor positioning as all the measurements coming from the sensors are noisy. This noise introduces positioning errors that may vary from one technological system to another. Besides, the ...
متن کاملBayesian Fusion for Indoor Positioning Using Bluetooth Fingerprints
This paper studies the use of received signal strength indicators (RSSI) applied to fingerprinting method in a Bluetooth network for indoor positioning. A Bayesian fusion (BF) method is proposed to combine the statistical information from the RSSI measurements and the prior information from a motion model. Indoor field tests are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the method. Test result...
متن کاملIndoor Positioning via Three Different RF Technologies
The continuous tracking of mobile systems via active or passive RFID is a desirable but difficult to achieve objective. In this paper, we present our experimental results of positioning techniques using passive UHF RFID, Bluetooth, and WLAN. We thereby employ three orthogonal measuring techniques: detection rates, signal strength, and round trip time. The orthogonality of the methods is designe...
